Just what Colorado needs…

According to Wired, one of the first attorneys to prosecute someone for the RIAA has been named to the CO Court of Appeals.

From wired,

“Richard Gabriel, who prosecuted the Jammie Thomas case, is a partner in the Colorado office of Holme Roberts & Owens. “

I know everyone has to make a living, but being a strong arm of the RIAA…. I think I’d rather shovel up dead critters on the interstate, in a monsoon. I don’t know that a monsoon would worsen the job, but it seems like floating soggy dead critters are worse than the sun dried variety.

Not sure what this means for Coloradans, working for the RIAA doesn’t necessarily mean that Richard Gabriel is anti “us” or pro business, though I’d draw that conclusion myself.

If anyone has to go through the appeals process after July 1, let us all know what he’s like.
