thinking inside the box
I know it’s not as exciting as a video post, but all I had on me was the ol’ camera phone…
We were just chillin’ on Pearl Street in Boulder the other night, and ran across a street performer I hadn’t seen yet. (Give me time, I’ve only been here a few months)
Have you seen this guy? Not only is he freakishly flexible, he’s pretty funny too. I guess you’d have to have a sense of humor if your street act consisted of you popping your shoulders out of joint to fit into ridiculously small spaces.
I think someone has vblogging envy…:)
Just kiddin’. I don’t go up to Boulder much but when I do Pearl Street is a must see.
Yeah, the Rasta Contortionist is one of the long-time Pearl Street standards. These days I don’t so much see his show as walk by while he’s still gathering his crowd: “Hey, come see the show!”
We also have a juggler who does the thing with flaming torches on a unicycle. Also a man simply know as The Zip Code Guy who will guess all sorts of stuff about you and your family based on your zip code of origin. The amazing bit isn’t that he guesses *right*. It’s that his guesses demonstrate that he has a phenomenal number of zip codes memorized.
I’ve heard of the zip code guy. I’ll have to find him one of these days.
Reason number 1 I take my camera everywhere. I wonder if I could find him if he’d appear on camera.
