Denver-Wide Capture the Flag Event! May 6. 6pm
You heard me. Capture the Flag. City-wide style. I got the idea from the folks at newmindspace.com who tend to do large art functions like this (the most recent being an all-out pillow fight in New York City’s Union Square). I’ll be posting rules shortly, but for the time being, put this on your calendar: 6pm, May 6th, 2006. ALL ARE INVITED. I’ll be submitting some information to the Rocky and Post, too. Tell your friends and come one, come all. This works best with over 100 people.
Formal invitation after the jump.
Join us for our first game of Capture the Flag – Denver, the urban recess game where teams hit the pavement! Run around the streets of Denver’s LoDo District, land of yuppie ice cream shops and expensive lunches. Ride RTD, 16th St. Mall buses — anything — to the enemy base, hide anywhere in public places, find their flag, outmaneuver their flag keepers and dash home for a point in this pulse-quickening game of capture. Defend your concrete turf by tagging trespassers and sending them back to their side. This is our first game of Capture the Flag – Denver and we want to see at least 200 people out there. The streets are your playground, reclaim them!
The sides will be evenly divided into two and assigned areas (see map) in downtown.
Not interested in playing but want to watch? We also need some volunteers.
More info to come! Spread the word. More information here.
